WHAT WAS IN THE BASEMENT?

“As we entered the ancient cellar, lots of gibbering noise was heard,
as if something was frantically trying to hide. Twenty-seven doddery
stair-steps descending. In the treacle darkness our candlelight
penetrated wisps of smoky sulfur plumes and we narrowly avoided
several deep crevices spewing white ash. There, on a disturbed section
of the decrepit dirt floor, partially buried, we found the remains of
six Sony dictaphones, two were smashed to bits. After a thorough
search of the old haunted house was made, we discovered that the
windows and doors were all nailed shut from the inside, and there were
two horribly gnawed gorey ears hidden on the kitchen floor. The hungry
demonic spirits of the house had apparently driven the forsaken
caretaker beyond the edge of insanity.”
